An essential piece, the sailor jumper is the garment that made SAINT JAMES famous. The authentic Matelot model is made in our workshops in Normandy, in Saint-James. It gathers the traditional elements of the sailor jumper that accompanied sailors to Newfoundland: a very tight knit, making it almost waterproof, a buttoning on the left shoulder for easy donning and keeping the neck warm, a length allowing to protect the back when bending over, and a composition of 100% untreated virgin wool. Today embraced by both urbanites and sailors, the SAINT JAMES Matelot jumper is a versatile piece with a workwear DNA.
